A Comparison of Life in Pakistan and Life in Canada

A Comparison of Life in Pakistan and Life in Canada
There is a world of difference between life in Canada and life in Pakistan. I recently immigrated to Canada from Pakistan and the first thing I noticed was the completely different weather. After landing I checked my mobile weather update. I was shocked to see how cold it was here in Canada. But the cold weather didn't create any hurdles in daily activities. Coming from Pakistan the major differences I noticed were traffic regulations, a helpful government, and educational facilities.
In Pakistan people don't follow the rules and regulations of the roads. People make their own short cut rules. The Pakistani government doesn't pay proper attention to this main cause of accidental death. There is no proper age restriction for driving and also no enforcement of traffic regulations. However, in Canada it's a completely different scenario. In order to get a license you have to pass written exams and then get a learner license. Having a Learner license means you can drive under the supervision of a license holder for at least nine months. There are no such rules in Pakistan. Also in Canada traffic flows smoothly and everyone cares about other drivers.
The Canadian government is very helpful to newcomers. They provide free health care and many facilities for newcomers. After I landed in Canada I was directed to the new immigrants desk, where I was given full information of programs to settle new immigrants in Canada as soon as possible. All the programs are totally free of charge. On the other hand in Pakistan the government doesn't provide as many facilities. There, most of the government employees take bribes. In Canada taking a bribe is a big crime.
Canada is one of the best educational providers in the world. There are many top-ranking universities in Canada. Students can easily get educational loans to carry on their studies. The Canadian government also provides scholarships to brilliant students. This is not only helpful for students, but it also has a good impact on the Canadian economy. As we all know Canada is a developed country. So, there is lots of job opportunities for university graduates. On the other hand in the top 400 universities of the world Pakistan is not mentioned. The government of Pakistan doesn't pay proper attention to this big issue. Education is the best way to compete with the world.

No doubt Canada is excellent in providing every kind of help to its people. This well developed country has many resources for residents and newcomers as well. But hope never dies, Pakistan still has many chances to overcome all the issues mentioned above. People are very hard working and just waiting for a chance to prove themselves. Despite all of the problems I still miss my country.

The Pakistani government doesn't pay proper attention to this main cause of accidental death. There is no proper age restriction for driving and also no proper check and balance in traffic  regulation. However in Canada it's a completely different scenario. In order to get a license you have to pass written exams and then get a learner license. Learner license means you can drive under the supervision of a license holder for at least nine months. When I landed in Canada after talking with the immigration officer I was directed to the new immigrants desk. They gave me full information of government facilities which are available to new immigrants and they sent me to enrol in Open Door Society. The open door society provided many programs to settle new immigrants in Canada as soon as possible. All the programs are totally free of cost. On the other hand in Pakistan the government doesn't provide as many facilities. In Pakistan most of the government employees take bribes to provide a genuine work. In Canada taking a bribe is a big crime.

My First Year in Canada

My name is Atif Hussain. I am working in an insurance company as a licensed insurance advisor. This April, I will have been in Canada for one year. I got married in August 2013.
This is my first time in blogger. These days, I am studying investment funds in Canada. This course is vital for me to take part in the investment industry. Today is my third English class with Joseph. It is a good opportunity for me to enhance my English skills. English is not my first language because I am from another country. In my country Urdu is my first language. Yesterday I went to the job fair in Rona. It was a good experience for me.
